E-School Bags: From One Class to Normalization

Around 2010, electronic schoolbags came in strongly. To study the development of these five categories of technical standards for terminal standards, the special group holds 2 full-group meetings every year to study and report the development progress of the standards. In 2013, three standards including "Electronic Textbook and Electronic School Bag System Framework", "Electronic Textbook Information Model Specification" and "Electronic School Bag Terminal Specification" were officially included in the national standard formulation and revision plan; "Electronic Textbook and Electronic School Bag Terminology", "Electronic Textbooks and Electronic School Bags Reference Group Spectrum", "Electronic Textbook Metadata", "E-School Bag Terminal Standard Software Specifications", "Virtual Learning Aids Classification Specifications", "Virtual Learning Tools Description Specifications", "Electronic Textbooks and Electronic School Bags" The General Specification for Learning Services” has also been included in the Ministry of Education’s education informatization standard formulation plan. At the same time, the special group also represents China and actively participates in and promotes international standards work (ISOIEC/JTC1SC36 Information Technology Standards for Learning, Education and Training), 2012 In 2012, the electronic textbook standard proposal submitted by the special group on behalf of China was officially approved by the International Organization for Standardization ISO. The electronic textbook technical report (ISO/IECTR18120) has been drafted and is being submitted to the secretariat. In October 2012, the special group released the domestic first A professional technical white paper on electronic textbooks and electronic schoolbags: "Research Report on the Standard System of Electronic Textbooks and Electronic Schoolbags in China".
